Southbend Convection oven Error Codes

How to read the codes
Which faults you can see depends on which control panel you have. STANDARD and CYCLE/COOK AND HOLD models show no fault messages at all, so everything is diagnosed from behaviour. TOUCHSCREEN models display named faults and keep a FAULT LOG with the date and time of each one, reachable through Settings, which is worth checking before a technician arrives because it survives a power cycle. Note that an aggregator site advertises a Southbend error code manual; Southbend's own manual contains the four messages below and no numbered code set.

| Burners will not light and the oven has stopped trying | The ignition module has locked out after three failed attempts | Gas off, low pressure, failed ignitor, failed gas valve, or a flame sense fault | Southbend's sequence explains why a hurried retry fails: if the burners do not light within FOUR SECONDS the oven shuts off the gas, WAITS FIVE MINUTES for it to disperse, then tries again, and after three attempts it stops even with the switch on. To reset, turn the power switch OFF and then ON. Confirm the manual shutoff valve is open before calling | 24V from ignition module to gas valve, then module, then gas solenoid |
