Merrychef eikon oven Error Codes
Applies to: eikon speed ovens. Compiled and paraphrased from Merrychef's own eikon Service and Parts Manuals, published by Merrychef USA, LLC of Fort Wayne, Indiana, part MCU_SM_0000, covering the eikon e1s, e2, e2s, e3, e4 and e4s, together with the Welbilt-branded eikon e1s manual. Merrychef is a Welbilt brand. A DISCREPANCY IS PUBLISHED RATHER THAN RESOLVED: the e4 manual gives E105 as supply VOLTAGE high or low, while the e4s manual gives the same code as supply FREQUENCY high or low. Both are Merrychef documents and they are not reconciled here, because the check a technician makes differs. How to read the codes
Merrychef eikon ovens show a description of the error on screen with a NUMBER AFTER THE WORD ERROR, and it is the number that identifies the fault; the wording varies between models and firmware while the number does not. The manuals also grade each fault by SYSTEM LEVEL and by OVEN RESPONSE, and the response is the part that matters operationally: some faults display until the oven is POWER CYCLED, and others display UNTIL A SERVICE CALL and will not clear on their own. Knowing which you have decides whether the shift continues. Two components appear constantly in the cause lists and are worth knowing by name: the SRB, the main relay board, and the QTS, the touch screen board, which talk to each other over a cable that is itself a documented failure point. Every eikon also keeps an ERROR LOG that can be copied to a USB stick from the service menu, which is worth doing before a technician arrives rather than relying on what anyone remembers.

Merrychef's e2 manual describes the trigger as the SRB measuring MORE THAN 1 AMP through the convection heater while the heater is commanded OFF. That is a heater that will not stop, not one that will not start, and it is graded CRITICAL | A heater that cannot be switched off is a burn and fire question, not a cooking-quality one. Merrychef's causes include a failed convection fan, and NO IMPELLER OR A LOOSE IMPELLER on that fan, and, listed plainly, CAVITY FIRE | If there is any smell of burning or visible smoke, treat it as a fire and not as a fault code | Check the impeller is present and tight before assuming the fan motor.
