Hatco Flav-R-Savor holding cabinet Error Codes
Applies to: Flav-R-Savor holding cabinets. Compiled and paraphrased from Hatco's own manuals published on hatcocorp.com: the Flav-R-Savor Heated Air Curtain Cabinets Installation and Operating Manual, form FSHACM-0719, for the holding cabinet rows; and the 3CS2 and FR2 Series Hydro-Heater Installation and Operating Manual, form HHM-0125 (January 2025, P/N 07.04.364.00), for the Hydro-Heater rows, the Energy Cut-Off reset, the setpoint display sequence and the 30-minute preheat. FSD/FSDT differences are noted where Hatco's manuals for those lines differ. Because E1 and E2 carry DIFFERENT meanings on cabinets and on Hydro-Heaters, confirm which manual covers your model before acting on a code. Table last updated Aug 14, 2026.
How to read the codes
These are holding cabinets, also called warmers or hot holding cabinets depending on who is speaking. E1 AND E2 DO NOT MEAN THE SAME THING ACROSS HATCO'S RANGE, which is the single most important thing to know before matching a code. On Flav-R-Savor holding cabinets E1 is the air temperature sensor and E2 the humidity sensor. On a 3CS Hydro-Heater, Hatco's manual gives E2 as control temperature out of range and adds an E3 for the low water probe. Check which product you have first. A widely circulated third-party page claims E1 means water too hot and E2 means water too cold; that matches no Hatco manual we could find and should be ignored.
