Convotherm easyTouch combi oven Error Codes
Applies to: easyTouch combi steamers (OES, OEB, OGS, OGB). Compiled and paraphrased from Convotherm's own documentation for the OES, OEB, OGS and OGB combi steamers with easyTouch: the easyTouch user manual published by CONVOTHERM Elektrogeraete GmbH of Eglfing, Germany, and the OEB/OES/OGB/OGS service handbook. Convotherm is a Welbilt brand and Welbilt's own asset server blocks automated access, so these are cited from distributor-hosted copies of the manufacturer's PDFs, which is the accepted case here; distributor-AUTHORED code lists are not used. THIS TABLE IS DELIBERATELY PARTIAL. Convotherm publishes a long E-code set including E04, E05.x, E11, E12.1 to E12.4, E14, E15, E21.x, E22.x and E23.x, and only the codes whose meanings could be read directly from a manufacturer document are reproduced below. The rest are omitted rather than guessed at. Codes and behaviour also vary between the 4 series, maxx pro and the older OES generation; confirm against the manual for your exact model and software version. Table last updated Aug 22, 2026.
How to read the codes
Convotherm error codes have TWO PARTS and both matter. The visible code is an E followed by a number and a decimal, such as E01.0 or E13.0, and alongside it the control carries an ID number, such as ID=24 or ID=20, which is what a technician quotes when ordering or calling. Record both. The letters before the code identify the machine rather than the fault: O is always present, the second letter is E for electric or G for gas, and the third is B for an appliance with a steam generator or S for one with injection. So an OGB is a gas machine with a steam generator and an OES is an electric machine with injection, and several codes mean different things between the two, because only B machines have a steam generator to go wrong. Convotherm's own note is that the system displays not just a code but a description of the fault, and that EMERGENCY MODE lets you keep cooking in many cases: check whether that is running before assuming the oven is out of service. The same manual is explicit that any error message not listed in the customer documentation means calling service rather than experimenting.

| E03.x | Frequency converter fault | Convotherm's service handbook notes that an E03 message may mean the Altivar 12 frequency converter has detected a fault with ITSELF rather than with the fan it drives, and gives a separate procedure for identifying which.
