Cleveland Range SteamCraft steamer Error Codes
Applies to: SteamCraft Convection Steamers, electric and gas. Compiled and paraphrased from the Cleveland Range SteamCraft Electric Convection Steamers Operation, Installation and Maintenance Manual, part KE004034-2 C, covering models 21CET8 and 21CET16. How to read the codes
THESE STEAMERS SHOW NO NUMBERED CODES. The 21CET8 and 21CET16 have a timer, an on/off switch and indicator lights, and every fault below is a SYMPTOM rather than a display message. Cleveland Range's own troubleshooting guide is written that way, listing causes in the order they should be checked and remedies from easiest to hardest, which is the order used here. If you are looking for a code list for these models, there is not one, and any site offering one is inventing it.

| Burner will not light, and the 90-second lockout | Gas models: the ignition system gives itself 90 seconds, then locks out | Cleveland's published sequence: the igniter sparks and gas goes to the pilot FOR 90 SECONDS. If the pilot has not lit in that time the ignition system LOCKS OUT, and the reset is a wait rather than a button. The manual gives two ways to clear it, wait 5 minutes or switch the ON/OFF off and back on, and says the system will reset itself in 6 to 7 minutes. That timing is why a steamer often lights on the second or third attempt and is then reported as intermittent when it is doing exactly what it is designed to do | Cleveland's own limit: try the lighting sequence up to FOUR times, waiting 5 minutes between attempts.
